Cancer always has variability in its clinical course, with some patients surviving only months and others for many years. Is this due to the different types of cancer? Why is not it due to different types of people?
Maybe even identical cancer type will have dramatically different prognosis on different patients. Though it is a common sense to predict the prognosis based on cancer cell's characters, it may be better to predict the prognosis based on the metastasis target tissue's characters and patient's general characters.
